If you've heard the phrase "work smarter, not harder," you're familiar with the idea. But how do you actually "work smarter"?
This workshop will explore tools for bringing your subconscious movement habits into your awareness—and how to choose new ways of moving that support your climbing goals. You will get personal, practical, hands-on support for understanding the mechanics of the human body and using all of that new information on the wall (and in your cross-training, stretching, etc). Bring your questions, curiosity, desire to expand your climbing experience, and your shoes.
What is Contemporary Alexander Technique?
This work is a practical, kinesthetic, hands-on study of the principles of our innate design, movement, awareness, and habits. Through it, you learn essential tools to make new choices beyond rules, expectations, knowledge, and habitual patterns, resulting in greater access to ease, coordination, and technique.
